Youngsan University belongs to the Sungsim School Foundation, one of the prestigious private educational institutions in the Youngnam, South Korea. The Suhgsim School Fundation first opened Sungsim Information High School in 1973 and founded the Youngsan University in March 1997, followed by the setting up of Pusan Campus in 2002. It currently enrolls more than ten thousand students and has 8 colleges including Health Science. Since its establishment, it begins friendly relations with universities in China, USA, Russia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

Youngsan University newly set up College of Health Science including Department of Nursing and Department of Physical Therapy. To understand the admission and academics systems of CMU School of Nursing and School of Physical Therapy, Gu-wuck Bu, President of Youngsan University and his wife led Dr. Kyungchan Lee, Director of International Cooperation, Dr. Hyekyung Ahn, Head of Department of Nursing, and Dr. Jian Shin, Head of Department of Chinese Studies to visit CMU on January 8, 2009. The delegation visited the education facilities and research resources followed by signing MOU to establish the foundation for future collaboration.

In order to demonstrate the research and education resources, Drs. Shwu-Jiuan Liu and Jun-Dai Lin, the Chair and faculty of School of Nursing, toured them to the classroom for the demonstration wards, computerized auditorium, and graduate student study rooms. They also discussed the obligation of student and graduation requirement. During the panel discussion, Dr. Shin-Da Lee, Chairman of School of Physical Therapy, introduced the mission, objectives, academics and researches of CMU. Dr. Lee, Director of International Cooperation, and Dr. Ahn, Head of Dept. of Nursing also comprehensively introduction their university and colleges. President Huang especially invited Korean international student, Moon-Jung Chang in School of Chinese Medicine for the translation and greeting. President Bu of Youngsan University appreciated our hospitality and presented his deeply impression of our academics and researches. In addition to this interaction, CMU currently has another sister institutions in Korea, Pusan National University. Begin with the student and faculty exchange program, we wish to improve the firmly relationship in the future.
